What Are the Differences Between Industrial Gateways and Switches?

An industrial gateway is a network interconnector, also known as a protocol parser.
It not only possesses protocol parsing and device networking capabilities but also enables real-time data collection and edge computing, allowing for real-time monitoring of data and providing digital and intelligent management support for enterprises.
A switch, on the other hand, is a device that automatically completes information exchange functions within a communication system.
It can expand device access under the same network and facilitate data transmission among multiple devices through wired connections.
