Solution for DCS Data Acquisition and Visualization Management System in a Cement Plant

To meet increasingly stringent environmental emission standards, a certain cement plant needs to add a complete SCR denitration system to the kiln tail section of its existing clinker production line. The core processes of the plant, such as the raw material mill and the rotary kiln, are currently controlled by an existing DCS, which is already operating close to its maximum capacity and cannot accommodate the newly added environmental denitration equipment. Therefore, a new DCS system will be implemented to control the automated operation of the denitration process.

Due to the independence of the old and new systems, there is a lack of data communication between them. Staff in the duty room often cannot promptly obtain information about the operational status and fault signals of the equipment. Moreover, it is challenging to summarize the patterns of production efficiency and denitration efficiency. As a result, issues such as low equipment operational efficiency and high inspection workloads have increasingly become significant obstacles to the plant's advancement towards intelligent manufacturing. Hence, it is necessary to connect the old and new DCS systems using an IoT system to achieve visual monitoring and remote management.

In response to this, WideIoT offers an efficient and reliable data acquisition solution. By deploying industrial intelligent gateways to interface with both the old and new DCS systems, WideIoT can collect real-time data on the operational status, process parameters, and fault signals of the production and denitration equipment. It also performs protocol parsing and edge computing, and then transmits the data to the monitoring center system via 5G/4G/WIFI/Ethernet connections. This enables functions such as configuration monitoring, fault alarming, remote control, and data analysis.

Through the monitoring center system, managers can stay informed about the operational status and work information of each device at any time. They can promptly identify abnormal data and perform remote control operations to ensure efficient production and environmental safety. Importantly, by leveraging data statistical analysis capabilities, the enterprise can understand the relationship between production status and environmental emissions. This allows for achieving a balance between efficient production and compliant emissions, continuously improving digital management levels and work efficiency.
